TumbleBook Library

By ascplrespot

Kids of all ages – put on your headphones and plug into TumbleBook Library, which includes a variety of fun reading and literature activities for children.  TumbleBooks can be found on our website’s listing of databases and can be used at the library or from home.  The Tumblebook Library has a selection of children’s favorite story books, ranging from favorite fairy tales to new stories like Diary of a Worm by Doreen Cronin.  There is a quiz to test comprehension for each book.  In the Language Learning section there are books in Spanish and French; and stories in other languages are being added.  TumbleReadables provide older students the chance to read a growing collection of children’s classics such as Black Beauty and Anne of Green Gables on-line.  You can also listen to audiobooks that include unabridged versions of children’s classics of American and World literature like Aesop’s Fables and The House at Pooh Corner.   Kids will enjoy the Puzzles and Games collection of concentration games, spelling games and “fill-in-the-blank” games, too.  Parents and teachers will find additional information and activities in the Educators’ Resources link at the bottom of the home page.  There are plenty of activities here to keep kids busy all summer long!
